The Ashley School

This project involved a wide-ranging programme of works to extend and transform the existing school facilities. The scope included demolition of internal partitions and removal of existing services, construction of a new classroom extension, and extensive internal remodelling to form new classrooms and learning spaces. The works also incorporated the installation of a lift to improve accessibility, new mechanical and electrical services, external drainage works, a new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) with associated fencing, as well as parking improvements and comprehensive hard and soft landscaping.

All works were carried out within a live school environment, with the pupils remaining on site throughout the project. Particular care was taken as the school supports children with special educational needs, requiring a sensitive, well-managed approach to safety, noise, access, and daily operations. Close collaboration with school staff ensured minimal disruption to learning while delivering a safe, high-quality environment tailored to the needs of its users.
