Brooks and Wood are a well recognised and respected local construction business who have been trading for over forty five years. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the accounting department and as such we are now advertising for the following position;
Purchase Ledger Clerk – Full time
The role consists generally of the following duties;
- All of the purchase ledger function from matching, coding, entering, filing invoices through to preparation of the monthly supplier payment run
- Checking invoices received against statements to ensure none are missing and contacting suppliers if required
- Logging and resolving invoice queries
- General assistance within the accounting department
Although full training will be given the applicant must have at least 2 years experience in a similar role and should be familiar in carrying out the above tasks. It would be beneficial but not essential for the candidate to have previous experience within the building trade, namely the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and relating to that the DRC VAT rules. In return the successful applicant will be provided with a competitive salary, an annual bonus scheme alongside other employment benefits.
