Enabling works included the demolition and relocation of several temporary accommodation blocks, including provision of new foundations, drainage and access ramps and steps.
Construction of new classroom blocks, comprising of timber framed construction, bauder roof coverings, alumasc render, cedar cladding and aluminium windows and doors. The project was made a little complex when initial groundworks uncovered air raid sheleters beneath the building footprint. A swift re-design of the foundation and ground floor slab allowed overall programme to be maintained.
